On-line registration is now closed. Registration will open again on-site at
the Victoria Conference Centre at 9:30am on Tuesday March 2. There are less
than 20 spaces remaining. New registrations will be taken on a first-come,
first-served basis.
Welcome to the registration page of Species at Risk 2004.
Please read
the following information before registering.
- Before registering please review the conference
field trips and
conference banquet information,
and if you are a government employee, you may wish to look up your
GST or PST exemption number.
- Please note that one day registration fees are not available as the
conference registration rate is already very low.
- Members of existing recovery teams, and those interested in becoming
involved in recovery teams, are encouraged to register for the Recovery
Training Workshop. A description of the workshop is available on the
Agenda page. Pre-registration is required as there are a maximum of
400 spaces. Cost is included with conference registration. Jan 20 update: The workshop is now full. Jan 23 update:
The waiting list for the workshop is now also full.
- After you have registered you can
make changes to your registration (add field trips, add banquet ticket,
cancel workshop reservation, etc) by calling GEMS Registration at
1-250-760-2005 or e-mailing risk2004@gemsregistration.com.
- Please note that non-governmental organization
(NGO) rates are for those individuals who work for or are volunteers
for NGO organizations
as their primary vocation. The NGO conference rates were established to assist
those organizations and individuals who have to work
to raise money to
cover costs associated with just keeping the doors open.
Most individuals involved in the conservation movement have some affiliation
or another
with an NGO. The NGO conference rates were not established
to provide less expensive registration costs (to an already inexpensive conference)
to attendees who have another primary source of income.
